I then die cut loads of flowers from some co-ordinating BoBunny papers using my Tim Holtz die, then it was just a dig out everything you like and stick it on..lots of fun, I inked a doily, added some hessian ribbon, some wood veneers, stickers, sequins and beads....just had lots of fun!</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjefSvcfMiYePjHiUMQZdTLP3zQxo4TEfeKJ-iKgZdOrZ1BNpNhoPyqQ6BOE4vv2vw6HaOmAIEAG2Yeh2vNqxOqqhWJENTFrulOsERwQ2rNaLCWFdsdr5vp6mHgmJRSigmDo35nUpLR38w/s1600/IMG_0490.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjefSvcfMiYePjHiUMQZdTLP3zQxo4TEfeKJ-iKgZdOrZ1BNpNhoPyqQ6BOE4vv2vw6HaOmAIEAG2Yeh2vNqxOqqhWJENTFrulOsERwQ2rNaLCWFdsdr5vp6mHgmJRSigmDo35nUpLR38w/s320/IMG_0490.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here you can see some of the layered - there was a little bit of stamping in there too!</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioaifENyloMnfTot-Xx5S-9wiUMvZ6hVqyzPvuVZyCGUtHVOg6713kHOImtyx5q5S2jkUxv1qAUF2NCdQCQNgfIBdNVenDxhpwGuimUTJlWBDXjJG8ALf2CzNiA4STpixJOYtOTKO-9_I/s1600/IMG_0491.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioaifENyloMnfTot-Xx5S-9wiUMvZ6hVqyzPvuVZyCGUtHVOg6713kHOImtyx5q5S2jkUxv1qAUF2NCdQCQNgfIBdNVenDxhpwGuimUTJlWBDXjJG8ALf2CzNiA4STpixJOYtOTKO-9_I/s320/IMG_0491.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">More layers and little bits that I found in my stash to add on top!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlR8b3EVRQuf0rP4l2Ep4o7IlTj7IRAf-CxttCrHkPnNNFBY9kdRGGgSbCNloensqo-8cEUxItclYphEwNpL-6fJMDFvOG6tca4uzPnZFhY7ucNTH0Rrkzar7GkSu5Kff6rv6JTE6knmw/s1200/IMG_0495.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1191" data-original-width="1200" height="636" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlR8b3EVRQuf0rP4l2Ep4o7IlTj7IRAf-CxttCrHkPnNNFBY9kdRGGgSbCNloensqo-8cEUxItclYphEwNpL-6fJMDFvOG6tca4uzPnZFhY7ucNTH0Rrkzar7GkSu5Kff6rv6JTE6knmw/w640-h636/IMG_0495.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>For this page I went with a little less and started with the tear at the top of the paper and used a little brad to hold it down from the heritage collection by simple stories. We explored the top part of Kew Garden and went across the lake and into the woods to the Badger Set area and came across a beautifully carved woodland path. Loads of interesting bits of tree and beautiful carvings to clamber across, perfect for some Autumnal shots.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt14vg0imbNiT13j7CzvBTZx6Z5d0MK3SacWpDzohJlBQCRUUlzzU59v_H8v8rgR861P73ImeFKdF22fSPfx047BjcPCEB_f7_rdnv0Zja1gZYlsfDKgWoW37LlR4VWXV0-AHzChJ-qy0/s1600/IMG_0485.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt14vg0imbNiT13j7CzvBTZx6Z5d0MK3SacWpDzohJlBQCRUUlzzU59v_H8v8rgR861P73ImeFKdF22fSPfx047BjcPCEB_f7_rdnv0Zja1gZYlsfDKgWoW37LlR4VWXV0-AHzChJ-qy0/s320/IMG_0485.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">There are some lovely stickers in this collection and I layered them up with foam pads and added silver cotton and some die cut leaves (a gorgeous Tim Holtz set that has come in useful again and again).</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPjgQUayi1F8UZdGT9-o0Ou6d7HXe7R7E1skWd-da5F7HQDk4UvkbmudODHVU2nsnkYwHzthEn0l_RLGAcz58gS5iOws23y22JS5pnfF1W584DOP2ktWY3MVf7CW72Tov6jg3gC0ocLek/s1600/IMG_0484.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPjgQUayi1F8UZdGT9-o0Ou6d7HXe7R7E1skWd-da5F7HQDk4UvkbmudODHVU2nsnkYwHzthEn0l_RLGAcz58gS5iOws23y22JS5pnfF1W584DOP2ktWY3MVf7CW72Tov6jg3gC0ocLek/s320/IMG_0484.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here you can see one of the beautiful carvings alongside my paint splatters and the October Afternoon (I miss them) alphabet.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEileqrvQTPqygmqsRaUJaNSiXHTUoxnJkmO_9sX5z3w71g4O2Shv7i-E5bjrArnEN17MGHPAkgYZmMZd6mhv9sBjYu_OMW1-_j0UfLrImJdWOiOYBVDMPCMY3X66CHL6n5OQrTBObFwKS0/s1234/IMG_0489.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1234" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEileqrvQTPqygmqsRaUJaNSiXHTUoxnJkmO_9sX5z3w71g4O2Shv7i-E5bjrArnEN17MGHPAkgYZmMZd6mhv9sBjYu_OMW1-_j0UfLrImJdWOiOYBVDMPCMY3X66CHL6n5OQrTBObFwKS0/w622-h640/IMG_0489.jpg" width="622" /></a></div>For my next page with this collection I dug out my watercolours and tried to match them to the paper....the one that didn't work so well was the blue - I needed a really deep, dark navy and just couldn't get that with what I had, but the others worked pretty well. I layered up my photos on the corresponding paper and then added lots of the sticker embellishments. I cut out one of the phrases from the 6 by 4" card and then mounted it on vellum just to give it a rectangular layer like the photos. I then went about hanging banners and adding flowers - so all in all fairly quick once the paint had dried!<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNMZ7nOQSWW42BLyJs7CDX9pKf8Nwi9sNnUhCvtdcOwv-1ho_rRCY2aUqh83cnrhA3PhmwfY7xsQDVcYl6zU3JBzZilwqs-4JAPmDye2UhX56yfGKjvts-PnKG5w-TCcGqwSIt3nDhS8g/s1600/IMG_0487.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNMZ7nOQSWW42BLyJs7CDX9pKf8Nwi9sNnUhCvtdcOwv-1ho_rRCY2aUqh83cnrhA3PhmwfY7xsQDVcYl6zU3JBzZilwqs-4JAPmDye2UhX56yfGKjvts-PnKG5w-TCcGqwSIt3nDhS8g/s320/IMG_0487.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here you can see a few close ups of the clusters.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-5p0BYHE5Rr5ogSHugOPxa5ohd1hnQGKdGbn_TOAhxTkSsgiz6bV6cbUyht7w3kMd-GJ2vLTw0Vx4F6RP-Dq3SOEo9xPbTpBlzqCOrKIlWivwsUr16LpVLY13D7cZLAeReVN10AOAuc0/s1682/IMG_0488.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1682" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-5p0BYHE5Rr5ogSHugOPxa5ohd1hnQGKdGbn_TOAhxTkSsgiz6bV6cbUyht7w3kMd-GJ2vLTw0Vx4F6RP-Dq3SOEo9xPbTpBlzqCOrKIlWivwsUr16LpVLY13D7cZLAeReVN10AOAuc0/s320/IMG_0488.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Once my main layer of paint was dry I added lots of little flicks of the 3 colours to tie the page all together.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I hope you've enjoyed these and are staying wrapped up and warm.</div><br /> <p></p>Katherinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14919306552295804603noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237600771572700947.post-79415878902117159932020-04-14T12:11:00.000+01:002020-04-14T12:11:00.453+01:00White on white with Storyline <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is another page using the lovely Storyline Chapters collection from Heidi Swapp. It started with that massive tear and I did the yellow and grey which I liked - added a bit of dimension....then struggled to find a photo (I normally start with the photo and then look for the papers)....so my yellow/grey turned into a yellow grey and blue and I tried to subtly pull out the wonderful blue of the Mediterranean sea - Venice is just so beautiful and I think it is fairly impossible to get a bad photo of the city.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Anyway, my white on white was using one of my favourite Tim Holtz leaf dies - it comes with a range of different leaves but I think this is my favourite one - I cut it out loads of times and then trimmed them to make them fit around my tear. I then added my photo with the pastel colours from Storyline and a few prima flowers and pale blue thread. I then added lots of little gems just to add a little more colour. Then a Pink Fresh alphabet - now these are lovely little alphas - perfect size and you get tonnes of letters on a sheet which really impressed me!</div>

Carrying on with my Italian adventure we also popped in on Florence, actually we went across from Pisa to Florence and then via the Ferrari factory (yep special request!) to Venice. The Duomo is just an amazing piece of artwork inside and outside and going up to the top was amazing - lots of little passage ways and breath taking art work - how did they do it! Having queued and waited our turn, Mum stayed with her feet firmly on the ground and she is just in the V of sunlight on the last picture, taking a picture of us at the top.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is more of the Storyline papers from Heidi Swapp and the top part of the page was my favourite paper...so I save some and tore it in half adding a lace border. I then decided to dig my watercolours out, to keep the lines roughly in the correct place I painted a strip of water before I added the paint so the paint would only run in the wet bits, then I added the paint and tried my best to match the colours and let it drip down the page. I used lots of the little tags and carried on with my hessian and thread theme from my other pages - I really like how the cream lace works with the colours in this collection. The final addition was the title which I like little light box letters so I hung them from the top, just gluing them at the top incase the glue showed through (even though it was clear). I really like the acetate so it didn't cover up much of my paint effect!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hello everyone, I've been having lots of dun with some of Heidi Swapp's Chapters collection - it's got a beautiful vintage feel to it perfect for my photos of Venice from last year. With everything happening at the moment these memories feel even more precious and it was a wonderful holiday - Venice is just so beautiful. We went on a gondola ride as all tourists do which gave us some beautiful snapshots of the city rising out of the water, there is something nice about travelling around in a boat with just the water lapping and no noise from cars!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On to the page I went with a classic washing line set up, I stuck my string down with some glue and added a few more textile elements in the way of hessian and some threads - I recently discovered a bag of many colour cottons....yes they will appear on lots of my pages as I explore them all! I also added in a few elements from other American crafts collections - an old Crate Paper tag and one of the little frames from a summer collection plus Happy Travels banner which I think is from one of Shimelle's collections. So really the page is just lots of layers and then a good rummage through my stash to use up sequins and buttons...I'd forgotten how much I like sequins and those little embellishments!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Good morning everyone, there is so much inspiration buzzing around the internet today and I wanted to add a little bit more to it with a page that I created using Vintage Traveller from Simple Stories. It's a beautiful collection with pastel blues and greens, maps, tickets, old posters....it's gorgeous.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We had a lovely family holiday to Italy - bit of a trip from Pisa over to Venice, there are lots of pages to come on this! I decided to scrap one of my favourite photos of late which is me and my youngest on the water bus heading over to Venice, the colours and papers went perfectly. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started with my torn strips and layers around the photo, but in my kit I also had the sticker pack for this collection and there are a few sheets of rectangular stickers, some with sayings, some images - they have the texture of some of the washi stickers that Simple Stories do. I often struggle with stickers like this, as they aren't messy so challenged myself to use them in a different way, as neat rectangles just wasn't working for me! I decided to tear and layer them - it was great fun to do and I was really pleased with the effect - adding a nice bit of texture without any paint! The other way I added some texture was with some organza ribbon - it's been in my stash for ages and I added a pleated/stapled band being my photo - I'd seen this technique years ago and again it was using something that had been resting at the bottom of my ribbon box for sometime. I started off by sticking it very lightly to the page with a tape runner - so the glue wouldn't show and then added staples so the pleats flattened.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbk1a8K5xqlkrhDFYXn9UUQfgc40NTebNRzxSxK5W9n9-WwldRRyYuCXWrb8ezpUDmSL4Bg8zYBdi4-U8u1S3JYds6asEAU9UfJFVaCt43hDdW7Fasocj97oSlkMj4L8f711gWSK8bDFQ/s1600/P1120755.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="675" data-original-width="1200" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbk1a8K5xqlkrhDFYXn9UUQfgc40NTebNRzxSxK5W9n9-WwldRRyYuCXWrb8ezpUDmSL4Bg8zYBdi4-U8u1S3JYds6asEAU9UfJFVaCt43hDdW7Fasocj97oSlkMj4L8f711gWSK8bDFQ/s400/P1120755.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I dug out some of my paper clips that co-ordinated - determined to use up some of the little bits in my stash that have been forgotten! Did the traditional 3 cluster, so layered in a couple of stickers too.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am often guilty of doing single photo pages...you can't see the journalling here - I tend to add it after I've photographed the pages, so I don't have to cover up bits....it does go on there - honest! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I took inspiration for the background from the More than Words papers and started with distress inks and broken china, tattered rose, squeezed lemonade and iced spruce. I then added some dots using Kaisercrafts Faded Dots stamp and black ink. Once happy with the layers I fussy cut some flowers and butterflies from the papers and added them around my photos- I used a few foam dots and added in some stickers from this collection too.</div>

I love the hand-drawn elements on this paper - it meant my fussy cutting didn't need to be too precise too.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello everyone, I wanted to share with you a couple of pages I created for one of my classes at the A Trip Down Memory Lane retreat. It was a fantastic weekend with lots of scrappy friends, plenty of laughter and sharing with ladies I only see a couple of times a year! It's amazing how a shared interest can build good friends really quickly.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Onto the pages...this one was fairly clean for me - no mess. I used a starburst die cut from the Star Gazer collection by Kaisercraft (it has a dotty pattern and cream background on the front, but it is pure white on the back and this went better with the papers. We backed the bursts and layered it all up, using the co-ordinating word stickers - really easy as long as you stick the papers on the back as you cut them out (otherwise it can take a rather long time to work out the puzzle and how to get it together!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The next layout used up lots of off-cuts - we used a triangle template and then arranged these on the page. A bit of fussy cutting of blossoms and butterflies, more of the thickers and it was done.</div>

Hello everyone, just a quick post today to share a new page that I made with the Floral Spice collection from BoBunny - it is packed with beautiful teals, purples and browns, perfect for Autumn. You can read more about it on the BoBunny blog - you will find <a href="http://bobunny.blogspot.com/2018/11/a-fall-layout-with-katherine.html">the page here</a>, so if you have time do head over and leave me a comment.</div>

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't posted in ages, I'm not sure how many people still read blogs, or whether more of it has moved to instagram now...so if you are reading, do leave me a comment and let me know you are there and I can keep on posting and also hunt down your blog if you have one too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are a couple of pages that I did for the Cybercrop over at A Trip Down Memory Lane - the classes are there and available - this one was called Ticket to Ride and featured the beautiful Go See Explore papers from Echo Park. I have been enjoying the recent watercolour trend in scrapbooking and it's made me get out my paints and try all sorts of colours, so that's how this page started. I also love a little camera and ended up with a little line of them hanging down from my papers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The photo is from our summer holidays - where our pool was possible more inflatable than pool - there were doughnuts, crocodiles, watermelons...</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The next page in this class involved a map paper - I do like a map paper, and I went for multi-photo - so some shots around our villa - it was idyllic, and a beautiful place in Majorca with loads of lovely coves and beaches. There is a tiny dot on the paper which is Majorca, so that is where the arrows lead.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a summery page for A Trip Down Memory Lane using Kaisercrafts Summer Splash collection. I have really enjoyed using water colours and also distress oxides on my papers...you will notice a theme with my recent layouts! This page started with blues and greens, and then flicks of paint with bursts of yellow and small nuovo drops and pearls too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I created a washing line, and was inspired to round the edges of everything by one of the ephemera pieces - the photo frame in the middle of the page, that comes in this collection. Once I had my 3 photo montage, I just embellished away using washi tape, stickers, wood veneers, cork, different bits of ribbon, pearls...I just had lots of fun!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you've enjoyed this page - it was a baking day when we were camping and all of a sudden a full on water fight broke out which even involved the men...and then anything that would possibly carry water - they were all drenched afterwards, but it was the perfect way to cool down!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hello everyone, more Sunshine Bliss today with a summery photo. The background card was actually white and I dug out my water colours and picked up some of the yellows and pinks in the papers to colour it (having said that I could have probably just chosen a similar paper from the range and saved all the painting, but I did enjoy it). I used the Vikki Boutin Colour wheel and Flower Garden stamps, carefully handcuffing them as my main embellishments. I also used a few of the die cuts - Mandala and also a new little trellis die that you can extend by layering it up. I also used the new tabs die from BoBunny and you can see one on the right hand side of the photo - lots of layering to add to all the colour on the page.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hand cut my star burst and did it by eye mostly - all the mess is hidden under the photo. I also added some stitching too as there has been so much of that about at the moment....it inspired me.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7crUWBEqVmDqtIhEhxSVdUpYryTMpYboX2UzrUVkNJCm6xAEnHzAMS3lDsd8JfrmFMxlsU4VY3WwK9yrWEGNMMmbBruo7E1uZI-cUz2zFV_9VlVOKJsVxxtlP349CEVWUw8mrfBOlPjM/s1600/Sunshine_Bliss_layout_Katherine_Jun17_05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7crUWBEqVmDqtIhEhxSVdUpYryTMpYboX2UzrUVkNJCm6xAEnHzAMS3lDsd8JfrmFMxlsU4VY3WwK9yrWEGNMMmbBruo7E1uZI-cUz2zFV_9VlVOKJsVxxtlP349CEVWUw8mrfBOlPjM/s640/Sunshine_Bliss_layout_Katherine_Jun17_05.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can see the co-ordinating thickers in this collection - I love the mix of patterns.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-qzGRfRN0EEvxoLcu_M_TFtEypikm1Y3I25d6dqvF5X7OVpwvEcso4eWMd9492ldZHu6asTRNhp43N-EeeS6Y0J7O6lG81DyygFFq-21oVTJ6uAgWIExHthGT23NFM70jIkzPO4vbuXY/s1600/Sunshine_Bliss_layout_Katherine_Jun17_06.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-qzGRfRN0EEvxoLcu_M_TFtEypikm1Y3I25d6dqvF5X7OVpwvEcso4eWMd9492ldZHu6asTRNhp43N-EeeS6Y0J7O6lG81DyygFFq-21oVTJ6uAgWIExHthGT23NFM70jIkzPO4vbuXY/s640/Sunshine_Bliss_layout_Katherine_Jun17_06.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a close up of the stamps - I recently bought a Tim Holtz stamp press and have found that has much improved my success with stamping precisely - I often am a vintage scruffy stamper, but with this full proof way of having everything lined up and being able to get a second go is fantastic. The Vikki Boutin ink colours are beautiful - they aren't water based so you can't paint with them, but they give an excellent burst of colour.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you are all having lovely days. I will be back with some more projects soon.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had the pleasure of scrapping with another beautiful sunny collection of papers from BoBunny - Sunshine Bliss and I created some home decor. If you check <a href="http://bobunny.blogspot.com/2018/07/home-sweet-home-embroidery-hoop-with.html">out their blog</a> you can find out how I did the stitching. I used lots of their co-ordinating blossoms and also one of their new phrase stamps - they have some really good inspiring phrases that are perfect for cards.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfakVK8ciBiQHmXdC-phd6Rsc0TNP6sLOxfA9NClqCJujeqRRABc38FcGyp9GNvGIV9utCfOPZVmznZ4vYrj6x3wI3H4ybEZMSz-btn6mIdgppyRL7KDsOQtLuwlSInfcDK4_s8nx5uqw/s1600/Sunshine_Bliss_altered_art_Katherine_Jul10_04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfakVK8ciBiQHmXdC-phd6Rsc0TNP6sLOxfA9NClqCJujeqRRABc38FcGyp9GNvGIV9utCfOPZVmznZ4vYrj6x3wI3H4ybEZMSz-btn6mIdgppyRL7KDsOQtLuwlSInfcDK4_s8nx5uqw/s640/Sunshine_Bliss_altered_art_Katherine_Jul10_04.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I got to play with some of the Vikki Boutin inks, and I really like all the different shades of colour, so I've used the flourish stamp and then the expressions phrase in the bright pink,</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There is a beautiful pack of layered chipboard that comes with the range, and you can co-ordinate the glitter with the blush glitter paste. I've also layered up a few of the die cuts - darling doily and sweet heart.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We are bathed in sunshine here - which is quite unusual...especially for this length of time and the summer holidays are looming - hopefully the sunny weather lasts!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hi everyone, I wanted to share some pages I made for Junes Virtual Crop over at A Trip Down Memory Lane. They use Kaisercraft's Factory 42 papers which have a lovely industrial feel to them. I've started with the last page I created...so this one uses up lots of the left-overs from my kit, and I add a little more colour with distress oxides - pistachio, cracked pistachio and fossilized amber. I then layered up all the papers and added a little bit of hand drawn stitching.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For this page I offset lots of squares - which does make it tricker to line up and get everything straight - something that is not my strength! However I like how the squares provided little panels for some of the phrases from the collection.</div>

There are also some industrial wood veneers like the taps that you can have fun with.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This was the first page, I inked up the veneers with silver and added them around my pictures. These photos are all from the same holiday and this one shows the competitive nature of my boys...with much laughter they are trying to push each other off and defend the one protruding rock in the river at Dovedale...amazingly they didn't both end up soaked!</div>

I hope you've enjoyed the pages. I have been making some more with the new BoBunny collections so do go and have a look at their blog and leave me a comment if you enjoy it :)</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I know these are older papers from Cocoa Vanilla, but I still really love them for boy layouts! We could choose some papers to design with this month for ATDML so I went with these.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I mounted my layers on the Galatic base, tearing a section from Starshine and Plus One. I cut out several of the stars from Starshine and mounted them on foam dots at the top and had them cascading down the page to the title. I used one of the large star stickers and then a mix of stamps and the stitched denim alphabet for the title.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Around the photo I layered up more stickers from the collection and also added in some little neuvo enamel style dots too. There are loads of typewritten words which you can add to the labels.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This is my little cluster of embellishments.<br />

Here are some of the stars - I tried to match up the colours when I was mounting them on top of the paper.<br />

I hope you've enjoyed my page...there will be more :)<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are some cards that I made using Summer Mood and lots of the BoBunny essential papers. It uses a fairly straightforward Cascading card technique.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

My first card uses the Up and Away die set with clouds and hot air balloons, I also added in some rainbows too.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFAX9WqRgjPL8cabTc7r4Y8JHYZtTC51_FjqUCUhj51c91yh9hhrOLS6c-_sS52rma054mCR5tUEPcQWotQeZKjqeX_rg9U1_Fza_HWan8gqwgNCkmxjp3ny36rQnd5YmeCj6SelqpyRw/s1600/Summer_mood_card_Katherine_may17_03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFAX9WqRgjPL8cabTc7r4Y8JHYZtTC51_FjqUCUhj51c91yh9hhrOLS6c-_sS52rma054mCR5tUEPcQWotQeZKjqeX_rg9U1_Fza_HWan8gqwgNCkmxjp3ny36rQnd5YmeCj6SelqpyRw/s640/Summer_mood_card_Katherine_may17_03.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
This shows you a better view of the card and how it comes together<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOvRCr6kBPIiAaSfzIaXLOonWR9k_4H4X_dk1mfMKBquynMFkBhRUrDdrBJ4eArLkR0NIPEQ3Crr7E49HdFqkqcMIEQoULDMeiCYgjtMPYLLkohuJb-2nzpYhs19sro3eOMlM2VoEbW0c/s1600/Summer_mood_card_Katherine_may17_05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOvRCr6kBPIiAaSfzIaXLOonWR9k_4H4X_dk1mfMKBquynMFkBhRUrDdrBJ4eArLkR0NIPEQ3Crr7E49HdFqkqcMIEQoULDMeiCYgjtMPYLLkohuJb-2nzpYhs19sro3eOMlM2VoEbW0c/s640/Summer_mood_card_Katherine_may17_05.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then used the cupcake dies to create a birthday card packed with colour and glitter.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have really been enjoying using watercolours on my pages of late and this one is no exception. I've used BoBunny's Once upon a Life time to scrap a heritage photo. I started with the flourish stencil and some white gesso, once that was dry I added layers of brown, green and orange watercolour, then a bit of stamping too - so lots of layers of paints and ink before the papers went on.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo3bFlHDJb4A_FKHSEQpE5BHFbz7oKJovVGnmbKH8YfaX5qmIFpyaEoC6_imOtf4As6ZrccPM_A0WkaDpJdV29hJZcPS3Khp2yir8eRmekEdzLWIzNJapebvHuDOVfflHmRtfgDWsj3rA/s1600/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_may10_02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo3bFlHDJb4A_FKHSEQpE5BHFbz7oKJovVGnmbKH8YfaX5qmIFpyaEoC6_imOtf4As6ZrccPM_A0WkaDpJdV29hJZcPS3Khp2yir8eRmekEdzLWIzNJapebvHuDOVfflHmRtfgDWsj3rA/s640/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_may10_02.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As well as the layers of paints and inks here you can see the layers of inked doily and also some die cuts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN5yNqJ9LpXfDmP36EdhBtazN87YVHkzZn1Adm3S3E1k8yza3gSC9m2Mn8QLiP4CJoxKmbpc_nQJG1T0PRqIRe_s2JeuxKYPuxBhNIGh7wznCumyj4pQXlX3gd3EroGC3WM927dA8jQcY/s1600/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_may10_04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN5yNqJ9LpXfDmP36EdhBtazN87YVHkzZn1Adm3S3E1k8yza3gSC9m2Mn8QLiP4CJoxKmbpc_nQJG1T0PRqIRe_s2JeuxKYPuxBhNIGh7wznCumyj4pQXlX3gd3EroGC3WM927dA8jQcY/s640/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_may10_04.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used one of the stickers for my title and bit of sparkle and lace.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixmXQOfBr61HUBM173tLpTF3Oa4kRlGgCfZ_MjlUDILqe_00RewvexVff6nlWdJp4dAMMRr86EbknhVD4P_Vv0pgRxaBKOZ-cc1tDdLKYR6HP6KXm-75msUmI4NleMY7IeXg_ZBIS_kZc/s1600/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_may10_03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixmXQOfBr61HUBM173tLpTF3Oa4kRlGgCfZ_MjlUDILqe_00RewvexVff6nlWdJp4dAMMRr86EbknhVD4P_Vv0pgRxaBKOZ-cc1tDdLKYR6HP6KXm-75msUmI4NleMY7IeXg_ZBIS_kZc/s640/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_may10_03.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added in a laser cut leaf and some of the chipboard as well as a blossom to complete my page.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hello, another page this time using the beautiful Summer Mood paper set from BoBunny, it has some lovely summery colours and I added my own watercolour twist. I also used the WRMK flower punch to create the large scallop layers at the base of the page. Furthermore there is a video which you can watch and shows you all the way through the process - you can find it here.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I die cut some lollipops and also the Mandala and then used watercolour paints to add some colour.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used confetti paste to add a bit of sparkle and also cut out the globe from one of the elements papers.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My title comes from one of the cards, and I added a couple more co-ordinating lollipops to this too.</div>

More clean and simple Twilight papers - this one with a grid pattern using lots of the papers and some of the journal cards. Again clean and simple with a pocket for all your journalling.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love the painted Home is wherever you are field, so I had to incorporate that into my page!</div>

Again some more of that beautiful foiling and title fonts. The next retreat is in November and if you email the shop they will be able to keep you up to date.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As well as a messy class I also like to do a clean and simple class too, so I get to see everyone! For this class I used the new Twilight collection from 1canoe2, the papers are beautifully designed and all the greys meant that they worked beautifully with black and white photos, plus some beautiful gold foiling which my photos don't do just to.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hi, I wanted to share with you a frame with you that I made using the new BoBunny Once Upon a Lifetime collection - you can find out all the details on their blog.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had a play with their perfect petals dies and made most of the flowers, inking and bending them and filling the centres with their double dot jewels.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr0LbO5pV4kGK3vGWoPdOrngtlTD_6GyHXqbVi67i3NjP-gtgcnPiIKbp-iWgJKz0SSgfkzZcRGOi2IkIGupr0vhNsneJzvYQzSy28bzS97wrkwwz1DfomqsJ7PGQgYxjW9jVVFA_ztAo/s1600/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_apr24_02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr0LbO5pV4kGK3vGWoPdOrngtlTD_6GyHXqbVi67i3NjP-gtgcnPiIKbp-iWgJKz0SSgfkzZcRGOi2IkIGupr0vhNsneJzvYQzSy28bzS97wrkwwz1DfomqsJ7PGQgYxjW9jVVFA_ztAo/s640/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_apr24_02.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The frame is also by BoBunny and is their chipboard ornate oval frame, I covered this in white gesso first and then added a mixture of tea dye distress ink and some copper metallic wax. I also tucked in some blossoms amongst the flowers.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii_KDhoj05MWls72OhUOq1ZvB-JLMvvV0q8dRIEBNWmJhz8GtdD1S0VQfHMSK4n2E1B_J8ogjDeb3h9HmOLuznENbSAH-FA590h3Lnf2GXNS0Io1KZTnqniPrNdUZNmzobddXp-tpOgO8/s1600/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_apr24_03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii_KDhoj05MWls72OhUOq1ZvB-JLMvvV0q8dRIEBNWmJhz8GtdD1S0VQfHMSK4n2E1B_J8ogjDeb3h9HmOLuznENbSAH-FA590h3Lnf2GXNS0Io1KZTnqniPrNdUZNmzobddXp-tpOgO8/s640/Once_Upon_a_Lifetime_frame_Katherine_apr24_03.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In this collection there is a page of plaques for parents and grandparents - perfect for a heritage page or just as a plaque at the bottom of a photo frame.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you've enjoyed my project, do pop over to the Bobunny blog and have a look.</div>

The final page from my 7 dots class - I love the background papers and this page uses up all the left over bits from the other too, plus lots of the tags. I added in some stamping and distressed and inked all the edges as well as continuing with my 2 tone mist sprinkles.</div>

More from my Paint Chips class - I love all the colours in the papers and this page was all about layering. Bits of punching to reveal different layers, some coloured mulling too, lots of distressing and a few more sprinkles of cosmic shimmer mist to complete it.</div>

Here are some photos from my Paint Chips class at the ATDML Retreat. For this class we made the woodgrain background paper, there was gesso, ink, stamping, water. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then layered up some of the paint chip tags and papers, and made little star embellishments. The final steps were to finish it with a few mist sprinkles.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a page I made with Cocoa Vanilla's Wild at Heart for ATDML. The collection has lots of blues and pinks in it and some lovely water-coloured papers and butterflies too. I went with lots of layers of papers - trying to layer up the curves bit. I then cut out some of the elements - one of the butterflies and the large heart. I teamed it up with a photo of our site-seeing in Paris, I love the architecture and the fact that just one lamp post or bridge gives you a clue as to which city you are in.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added some golden chipboard - the title is from a chipboard collection from Hobby Craft, then a some sparkly golden gems.</div>
