Enjoying the Sun

This is a page that I made with lots of different bits and pieces.  It started off with a paint technique where you use ink and gesso on a plastic bag and mix it a bit and then print it onto the paper.  Once that had dried I then did some stamping, added some Websters vellum, a doily and some torn strips of paper and a muslin square.  I used a couple of Crate Paper chipboard frames (I do love these packs) for my photos, and then went about tucking in some bits and pieces from the Simple Stories heritage range, and some prima canvas shapes, pound land craft flowers which I added a little gold to and prima wood veneers.  The papers are mainly from the Kaisercraft Blue Bay collection and the washi tape ruler is by glitz.

This was one of our cycling adventures in some woods back at Easter and it was lots of fun!

I am so Blessed

This is a page I made a little while back using some of the ephemera packs (this one is from I Am) that Simple Stories do, and then I matched a mixture of MME and Simple Stories papers, with the colours.  I like the effect that gesso has when you use mists on top, they don't sink into the paper so much and just look really pretty, so I covers the whole of my card stock in gesso and then used some Tattered Angels mists for the base. I distressed and layered up my papers, and made a little folded paper ribbon.  Next I added all the ephemera - I love the hints of gold, I stuck some bits on foam dots to add dimension and layers.

The photo was from a trip into London to see all the Shaun's - it's a nice one of all of us and like that you can see Tower Bridge in the background.  Hope you are all having a lovely day and I will be back later in the week with more pages.

Funny Faces

Here is a page I did for one of the challenges over at CSI, I used the colour palette and then stars, vellum, paint, stickers, circles and the subject...something silly.  This is just one of those shots that you get as your kids experiment with the faces that they can pull!

I used lots of Teresa Collins for this page, I still love all the triangles from the Something Wonderful paper pack, I also included some older TC papers in there too.  I hand cut out my title and did a little edging in black.  I used some Baker Ross felt stars and also some American Craft wood veneers.  I mixed my paint with Marion Smith's colour lab, and added some glitter to the yellow.
