Got to Dig

This is my entry for the Sarah Cards sketch challenge.

Using DCWV cardstock, and basic grey wisteria papers. I sanded, crumpled and sewed all the edges for the layering, and used the deep edge fan martha stewart punch to make the purple flower band which I stitched across too (not sure that comes out too clearly on the photo. Urban lily stamp for the journalling section, and then some Lisa Bernstein and Brenda Pinnick stickers and chipboard. Can't take any credit for the lovely photos taken my my DH on the beach.

On the Beach

This is using Basic Grey Wisteria papers, some white DCWV cardstock. The photo background is some coordinations whitewash which I cuttlebugged using the swiss dots folder and then sanded down. I cut the circle out and then escalloped it by adding lots of smaller half circles around the edge. Sewed a little pattern in the bottom corner with embroidery thread, inked a piece of white card with milled lavender and stamped it a couple of times with some Rhona Farrer swirl stamps for the journalling, and attached it with a paperclip. The alphabet chipboard is from a Brenda Pinnick kit, and the stickers are from a Lisa Bernstein kit. Added a few stars and inked some edges.

and also noticed that this LO fits in with the Scrapweekly 2010 challenge to have some white space!

I saw this idea on ukscrappers, and I have a cupcake link on the side of the page. I used up all my odds and ends of paper and ribbons to make this - I had to use a 10cm polysterene ball as couldn't find 3inch ones but it worked well.

Now I am 4

I used DCWV jewel card stock, and then some My Little shoebox whos there papers, I escalloped the pink paper edge with my corner rounder, chalked it and then added pearl drops on them. I used my new martha stewart punches - the double loop one for the next layer and added some ribbon through this, and cut out another scalloped edge in the yellow MLS for the bottom layer. I used the deep edge fan to cut out some chocolate brown big daisys which I sanded, then added some green felt ribbon, to this I added some butterflys (so used all my new punches now!), and cut out some animals from the MLS papers. I stamped some journalling in an Urban Lilly frame stamp, used the sizzix alpha blocks alphabet, and stitched around the edge of the title. I also made a couple more of the 6 petal flowers which there is a link to at the side. Here are the close ups

Sports Day

I am still catching up on my scrapbook for 2009, and was inspired by some grungey distressed pages on the creative scrapbooking site. So this LO has been sanded, crumpled and distressed and inked lots using the cosmo cricket earth love papers. I used some Rhonna Farrer stamps down the right hand side and embellished them with flowers and brads (and I stuck some beads on the brads too). A little tear, and I tied it back together, and threaded some buttons through the paper with flowers again placed behind them. The alpha is sizzix alpha blocks. Here are some close ups of a few of the bits.

Scrapweekly 2010 - Snow Day

This is may LO inspired by the Scrapweekly 2010 challenge this week - to make your own background paper using 3 papers. I have incorporated my background papers into a picture - the papers are Jolly by Golly by Cosmo Cricket and some Whitewash co-ordinations - lots of tearing and cutting with a craft knife to make the picture up. I cut out the houses, birds and trees and 3d foamed them and added glitter, popped a little lace around the bottom to look like snow. I found some other snow flakes in my stash and added them to the top paper. The alphabet is the sizzix catty corner one, which I mounted on a DCWV matt stack, chalked around the edges, and I made a little signpost with my journalling on which I chalked too.
Here are the close ups of the house, snowflakes and journalling
