The Science Museum

Here is my take on this fortnights challenge over at the Studio....which is stitching.  We've been on holiday and I completely forgot that my deadline was coming up (despite being messy I am normally on top of things so I was a bit aaahhhhh!).  It was quite good to have a little pressure as I went for the papers that I have been just stroking in my collection - they are one of my favourite ranges from last CHA - Crate Papers DIY shop....and I finally just dug into them.

I tried to match my colours (roughly) to those in the photo and went with the beautiful sunburst background, I stitched a circle, and then layered up a number piece from DIY Shop and some Chevrons from the Maggie Holmes collection by Crate.  I also did a little gutting as the other side of the sunburst has these fantastic speech bubbles, and I didn't get 2 pieces so I had to cut them out.  This months sponsor donating a lovely pack of chipboard is Tando creative who I am also on the team for so in there are some of their cogs aux natural and then some inked golden stars.  I added a few more bits of crates ephemera pack and then used a mixture of thickers and simple stories tiny type alphas for the title.  The photo is from the Science Museum in London where they have a fantastic hands on area called the Launchpad which the kids just loved and here is my youngest making an electrical circuit.

If you would like to join us over at the Studio this month and be in with a chance to win a great prize pack of chipboard then here is the link.  Also on that note I am up with another page on the Tando blog today so here is the link for that too.
