Dad

Here is my fathers day creation - wasn't that organised as we had a really busy weekend...so tried to make it a little Tim style and keep it grungey. I stripped the top layer off some cardboard that I had saved, then inked it with distress inks, I already had some spare blue painted card so I inked that a little and cut out the title Dad. The stamp is creative expressions vintage hearts, I stamped in stazon and distress inked in marmalade and fire brick, then crackle painted and inked over in walnut stain...and stickled it! The papers are some DCWV luxury stack and costco papers, added some rik rak, a button and a couple of pearl dots, and there you go!

So Proud

This is my take on this weeks UKScrappers weekly challenge. The challenge was to scrap something/someone you care about, use 2 of something old/new/borrowed/blue, use ink and have some journalling. So I think that I have encorporated all of those in there somewhere. The picture is of someone I care for, and them holding someone they care for :) My DS was desparate to hold his new cousin, and very pleased to be photographed with her - he is a proud big cousin. The something old/new/borrowed/blue - well I used my edging scissors which I have had for ages and not really used to trim my paper borders the idea came from Gabrielle P on this thread, also the stickers and the inspire frame are really old. There is blue in the papers, and the papers are some new ones from the Kioshi range...didn't manage to borrow anything! I have inked lots of the edges and included some secret journalling down the side of the photo. I used my Martha Stewart double loop punch, some of my new buttons, and made and inked my own bingo card - couldn't find one with the word cousins on it so made my own using the cheri liney font....and had lots of joy trying to print it on the printer - for some reason it didn't like the card!

Thanks for popping by - here are some more close ups

Captured Moment

I finished my LO that I started on Tuesday evening on was on my workdesk for Wednesday...so since then more embellishments. The papers are mostly jillibean soup - cabbage stew range, and there is one sheet of cosmo cricket earth love in there. Mixture of flowers that I have picked up and some of my new buttons :) The bottle cap I was making on Tuesday has all dried clear now, I inked all the papers with distress ink, and the lace too, I also added some stitched swirls - drew them on lightly and then pierced the holes with a needle and then stitched - I find that way saves my fingers a bit more. The title stickers are from my 1st scrapping colorbok set - so using old stash too :) My DH took this shot after my son had been playing in the sprinkler - I love the way he captured a really natural moment, and I just think it is really beautiful shot.

Below are some close ups of the different elements :)

WOYWW 53

This is my desk as it looks now.... Haven't posted much as I have been on my hols - which were great and it was fab to have such sunny conditions so we could spend lots of time on the beach :) I have just started on a LO, using the new papers that I bought a couple of weeks back - Jillibean cabbage soup.

I was watching Suze Wineberg on TV and got inspired to make this bottle top with glossy accents and paper - I put too much stuff in it, but it was fun to make :)

I started to cut out my birdhouses and added a little stickles to glam them up :) I will publish the finished LO later on in the week.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Wednesday - click here to find out more about WOYWW
