Ok...completely out of season now, but I thought I'd share them now!! Here is the 2nd class that I did at the ATDML retreat with Simple Stories DIY shop - a beautiful bright coloured range of papers that would work really well for summer too....but my photos are wintry.
The focus for this class was using paint and inks, so my first page we used gesso as a wash over the background of yellow polka dots, and then misted some of the calico banners that come in this range. I cut out lots of frames from on of the papers and arranged them in a v-shaped gallery creating dimension with pop dots.
This page is more inky - we started with some gesso and then creating texture on it using corrugated card, left it to dry over night and then used spray mist - I like the way the the gesso stops the mist sinking into the paper so it gives you clearer edges to the mist. Then we layered up papers and gauze and misted some more banner pieces - trying to create an ombre effect on them and adding a few enamel dots too.
I am up on the ATDML blog today with another misty page here.
As usual great layouts and colour combos used. I'll give you my Italy photos to scrap for me I am so behind with my stuff. must stop knitting
ReplyDeleteLove love love these pages Katherine. I really must have a go at the dripping technique as it looks so good. Am off to have a look at your ATDML post now x
