Delight with Bo Bunny Believe and a Video!

So I am a little nervous about posting this, but I actually had a go at a video tutorial - it is my first one!  It wasn't as hard as I thought, though getting the set up right would make you laugh - I now have a make shift pole in the middle of my scrapbook area, but if these go well then I will sort out something a little more easy to manoeuvre !

I used the beautiful Believe papers, I love all the colours, and it meant I could get really messy with paints and mixed media.  I won't tell you too much about the process as you can watch it.  I hope you enjoy.

Here is the video....

Snowy Smiles with BoBunny Whiteout

So I did mention a while back that I was enjoying paint.....and there is no paint on this one, just lots of layers!  I made it for ATDML and used BoBunny's White Out papers.

The page started with the beautiful glittered blue paper - it went well with my sons hoody! I then used a Martha Steward edger punch on some of the light blue paper from the collection and added a a couple of thin strips of one of the wood grain pieces (the matts and border punch papers don't go all the way behind the blue sheet)  I didn't want to cover up too much of the main blue paper so I added some doilies and a border around my photo, then a few pieces cut from the papers plus a prima heart and wood veneer frame and then a Simple Stories So Happy tag - just little bits that I had around.  I punched some snowflakes and added pearls to the centre.  Since the alphabet on the sticker sheet didn't stand out enough on the navy blue paper I mounted my letters on to pale blue patterned paper, and then stuck them on foam dots - I also like the effect of using 2 slightly different alphabets for titles too.  It does make it a little harder to stick the alphabets on straight !!!

That is the last of my snowy pages for a while - waiting for some more!  I'll be back with pages that I made at the ATDML retreat that happened over the Easter break.

Snowy photos....in Spring!

I know these aren't really seasonal as I sit here being bathed in spring sunlight!  However this is one of my favourite collections from BoBunny last year - White Out and Jill from ATDML popped some in my DT kit!  I love the glitter and woodgrain and blues - beautiful.  This year we got one day of snow, which didn't last for long and so I had to take lots of photos!

I started with my paint areas and applied gesso with a credit card, I then used a couple of different sized plates to make circles with a white gel pen.  Then I layered up my papers, and created a little folded paper border under the photo, and added some of the snowflake stickers from this collection along with some white sequins.  I also created a little embellishment cluster at the top of my page - the whole theory of drawing your eye into the page and the sequins lead you to my main photo area.

There is another wintry page on it's way....

Mother's Day with BoBunny Soiree

Here is a less pink page that I made with the Soiree collection from my DT kit with ATDML.

I started this page with a wash of walnut stain distress stain around the photo area and also at the top, I also added some plasters tape to get the grid texture and did a little stamping with a grid stamp too.  Again lots of tearing and inking and layering, I added some punched layers and fussy cut out a pile of suitcases too.  I used some gardeners twine and lace for the embellishment as well as layering up some of the BoBunny stickers you get.

This is a snatched phone photo of my kids who brought me some breakfast in bed on Mothering Sunday, complete with porridge, tea and biscuits - love these moments.  I added a filter to it with my iPhone so the colours are more faded which went well with the papers.  I really like being able to edit photo and share photos to my phone, look at papers and then when I'm ready I print them off on my selphy.

I'll be back with some more.

Treasure with BoBunny Soiree

Last months kit from ATDML was packed with BoBunny, and I had 2 different lines to work with, for this page I used Soiree and went with a non-traditional colour for me....pink, so it meant I had to be in the picture and I used a photo from my brothers wedding.  I used a mask and gesso and then inked and added a little spray over the top, then I added some stamped areas with an old prima diamond stamp, then I went to town with lots of tearing and distressing, inking and layering.  I added some muslin that I coloured with some of my sprays, and torn book pages, as well  as some of the stickers from the BoBunny kit and their beautiful laser cut butterflies.  A messy page that I really enjoyed making!  There will be a bit more mess over the coming weeks as I am really enjoying painting and layering at the moment!!
