Just buttering some toast

My DS wanted to butter some toast and got in a bit of a mess...butter on the floor and in his hair, so this LO is to reflect that. It is using K and Co wild saffron papers, sizzix doughnuts alphabet. I used acetate over the photos and then painted over the top...used acrylic paints for all the butters smudges. Made a lollipop flower and edged it with glitter.

One of my favourite things

This is using the green stack too. The coggs are a sizzix die, and the alpha is catty corner again. I have cropodiled around the edge of my matt. Picture of my DS enjoying his favourite toy at the park!

Friends are the family you choose

Some new LOs, some I did a little while ago...but here they are

This one is done using the DCWV green stack and chipboard, I cut some of the birds out, and scalloped round the edge of my photo matt with a corner rounder. I've edged the flowers with some stickles, and the alphabet is catty corner by sixxix.

Wedding Card using cuttlebug quilt idea

This is using the cuttlebug quilt idea - the site is on my list of favourites at the top. I used the paisley folder, and then some pre-squares from a Cosmo Cricket set (and the card came from there too). The cuttlebug Congrats die, bit of ribbon, coloured a piece of chipboard with red ink and popped glitter glue on top for some sparkle. Added some distress inks around the edges of all the pieces to make them stand about a bit more, and here is my non-traditional wedding card!

Digi layout - growing up

Based on a Heinz Baked bean can, pictures of DS growing up, done for the UKscrappers weekly challenge. This LO is from a mixture of freebie kits off the web Jennifer Pebbles provided the frame, the papers are from kevin and amanda's spring kit, the trees and birds and flowers are from Lori Musser - a whimsical mothers day, letters are from shabby princess dinner party and the arrows from the porch awning set. The red apple bits are by Danielle Thompson, and pink flowers from the MSA wildflower kit by Holly designs - I hope that covers everyone - all beautiful kits. Lots of layering in Paintshop pro - my computer did complain that it was running out of memory! Really enjoyed all these freebie bits - it has been great fun, and I think it is getting easier, though taking me longer!

Ethan at 6

One of my favourite pictures. Used the DCWV green stack, slim jim font...some buttons and chipboard. I tried to include some of the things he is into at the moment...and tried to keep it red black and white!

Bird House

Junk modeling with my DS...and inspired by UKscrappers to create a bird house....so all made out of recycled goods...and lots of tape!

Digi Layout - Kew Gardens

So playing a bit more with the digi thing...now I am not near computers for a living the whole thing feels a lot more appealing. I tried out this one in paintshop pro 7...had used it a long while ago and not really played with it that much recently - took me a little while to get going and remind myself about mastering the layers! I found this beautiful kit C Stephens Spontaneous delight from Shabby Princess, the alpha was from the dinner party kit on that site, the butterflies from the MSA wildflower kit - all freebies and lovely.
My DH took this photo - I love Kew gardens...been going since I was a child, maybe only a couple of times a year but the open space and plants and hot houses....picnics in the summer - it is just gorgeous and definately a place I would recommend a visit to.
Quite enjoying the digi thing, though want to play around with some more paper pages too!

Digi Layout - Geo-caching

This was my first play around with a digi kit which is shabby princess Happy go lucky, there were loads of elements to it and it was great fun.

Digi Layout - I want to hold your hand

I found some great digi kits on the web, and this is one of my creations with it! The bits I used are from the Shabby princess - the ribbon, and flowers, and black and white pape rkevin and amanda spring mini kit - the red paper, and heart button and teal ribbon, and teal paper and glitterific swirls found at the digital scrapbook place.

Grandchildren - MLS

This is my latest My Little Shoebox creation. It was using the Who's Who papers - I cut around the swirls and birds with my craft knife (yep it did take a while :)), added some glitter and buttons (from the early learning centre), then cuttled my title using the Olivia alphabet. I gave a little bit of dimension to some of the flowers with foam pads. I also made my own journal circle from the papers...and hand scalloped the edge - which would be why it is not quite even! I love this picture of my Mum and all her grandchildren...so far taken in their garden.

Hapiness - MLS

Started using some of the My Little Shoe Box turtles and trees range - love the papers and the colours - they feel nice and bright and summery. I chopped up the circle to pattern my paper, used an assortment of buttons and gems that I have colleted. The font is Olivia from the cuttlebug range. Wanted to scrap this photo as it is a really nice one!

My Grandad

Here is a shot of me and my grandad. There is some hidden journalling behind the photo with some of my favourite memories. The stamps used were Autumn Leaves flourishes, made some lollipop flowers using my sizzix dies, curled and inked the edges to make them a bit more 3D. Added some bling to them, and to my flourished. The font for the title is from the cuttlebug Olivia range, papers are all DCWV and a Kabanan lacey one I found in my stash.

Welcome

Hi

This is my first attempt at blogging - so hopefully this blog will get better with time. I have enjoyed looking at loads of other blogs across the internet with inspiration for my scrap pages and different techniques to experiment with - so hopefully I will be able to link them all to here so I can find them easily too.
