So here is my desk, with my sewing machine tucked on the side...you can see lots of debris from some recent projects including the plates I used to make a circle on a page, and a pile of Crate Papers Pretty Party there, some paint dishes, tape and a Union Flag ready for the weekend (though this has King George on it).
I thought I would add this photo too just 'cos I like all the colours....I have been trying to keep the negatives from punches and seeing whether I can use them anywhere else....I'll let you know. I'll show you what I created with these papers at the weekend.
Hope you are having a lovely Wednesday and here is the link if you would like to join in.
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I like to use punch waste too and am also currently obsessed with peel-off backing sheets. Happy WOYWW x

ReplyDeleteI usually have to use the coffee/side table or dinning room table and its littered with bits and pieces. I am forever loosing scissors papers etc.

You had to have straightened up after your little play that is a little bit to tidy for an art adventure that has just finished. I also try and use the negatives, I don't like waste. LOL

Isn't it cheating to tidy up first? But then, I suppose we couldn't see what you wanted to show us, if it was buried... (and who am I to talk anyway!!)
ReplyDeleteThe "negative" cut-outs idea is good. I've tried layering circle cut-outs, with a piece of paper beneath them. If you slide them over each other, so they make a sort of sloping angle, you can see each of the underneath pieces at the edge of the hole above it, with a part-circle of the bottom piece of paper showing through in the middle. I hope I've described it well enough... it looks nice anyway! You could try it with all sorts of shapes and even mix the shapes up...
Thank you for visiting my blog - hope you'll come back sometimes! :-)
Those papers sure do look pretty all up one another like that. I see I'm not the only one who pulls out plates, glasses, or other things to use as a circle guide!
ReplyDeletecute little space. I like all the colors too! I'm like that...want to save everything because I "might could use it for something!" Valerie #174
