BoBunny and Tando Fathers Day box

Hello, here is my box that I blogged over on the Tando site yesterday.  I decided to have a go at an exploding box for my Dad but including a little chocolatey treat too.  I made my box out of card stock - I started with one sheet that was 9" by 9" and the box lid 5 by 5.  I scored ever 3" on the 9" in both directions so you get a tic tac toe grid and then I cut out the corner squares.  The lid I made slightly larger - so the central square is 3 1/4" by 31/4" and the sides are what was left.

Once I had made the base I then decorated it with the BoBunny Mammarazzi 2 papers - I stitched and inked, and cut out some of the cameras which I attached with acetate so they pop out the box.  My Dad loves photography so it went perfectly.  I then added some more decoration with Tando Cameras and some of the BoBunny stickers under my flying cameras.  In the centre I coloured a large Tando camera with pro markers, covered it in glossy accents and then added some stickers to say Dad and made it stand up with a piece of folded card.  I also made my own filmstrip by colouring in a cotton reel black and using my sizzix film strip die (which fitted really well) - I backed the film strip with more acetate (I realised you have to staple it as glue and curling acetate don't work well!) and added some little punched hearts and the words 'love you' - I then tied it up with twine and nestled in my Ferror Roche.

For the outside I used my Martha Stewart Infinity punch and then edged the lid with some BoBunny stickers.  I created my own flower - using lots of loops for the bottom and then rolling and snipping some paper for the centre - much like this tutorial in fabric here.

Dad was very pleased and I expect the chocolate is already gone!
